AMS Planner Description
The system “AMS PLANNER” by Applied Messaging Systems is:
- A professional time management system that can help control the working time of the employees. The user can create, edit, view and print sophisticated daily, weekly, monthly work schedules.
- A professional appointment (meeting) management tool that has outstanding reminder features. The system can automatically send reminders to your clients and employees about upcoming appointments (meetings) via SMS and E-mail.
- It is also a system for storing and maintaining your clients’ data,
- and last but not least it is one of the best systems on the market for sending and receiving SMS messages and for creating automated SMS services.
The system consists of the “AMS Planner” software for Windows and a of an industrial GSM terminal for sending and receiving SMS messages. The terminal can communicate with the PC via USB or RS-232 port.
The program has many advanced options and an intuitive user interface.
An advanced system interface makes it possible to use “AMS PLANNER” as a stand-alone external SMS communication module for other IT systems or programs.
The system comes with a 2-years limited warranty and with unlimited updates for the period of 18 months with an option to prologue the warranty and updates. Our company works every day on new functions and improvements. This way, if you buy this solution now, it will not become outdated in a few years.
The user interface is available in English, Polish and German. The system’s documentation is available in English and Polish.

AMS Planner system efficiency
- The system is capable of sending a maximum of 14 SMS messages per minute
- The system is capable of receiving a maximum of 14 SMS messages per minute
- The speed of sending / receiving text messages depends mainly on the strength of GSM signal and the technical capabilities of BTS (Base Transceiver Station) in a given location.
- The limitation on sending /receiving Email messages depend only on the speed of the Internet connection and on the mail server

“External Outbox” is a system interface allowing other programs and processes to send SMS messages. In order to use the interface other programs / processes should write the messages along with the corresponding recipients’phone numbers to:
- a text file (type of ext. outbox: Text file)
- many different text files (type of ext. outbox: Directory)
- an MS Excel file up to the ver. 97-2003 (type of ext. outbox: Datasource)
- an MS Access (*.mdb) file (type of ext. outbox: Datasource)
- a database table accessible via ODBC (type of ext. outbox: Datasource)

| Subscription to SMS services - Thanks to the “Subscription” service, mobile phone users can sign themselves up to groups, created in the AMS Planner system, by sending a properly formatted text message. |

SIM CARD
Before installing the system it is necessary to have an active SIM card of a GSM operator.
In principle each standard SIM card available on the market should be compatible with the modem. However, the user should make it sure that the card is charged (in case of the pre-paid cards) and that it can send and receive SMS messages. Before purchasing a SIM card the user should check if it is allowed by the company that issues the card to use it in GSM modems. It is recommended to test the card in a mobile phone before inserting it into the modem.
